How unfortunate it is that there comes times when such beautiful treasures are misplaced by our world. I stumbled upon a live-concert-video of Paul McCartney’s “Hey Jude” one day in Youtube, who wants MTV anymore eh…? my case in point (the original point)-it no longer seems to be on youtube. It was the Music of Montserrat concert live at the Royal Albert Hall. To say the cast was star-studded would be the biggest understatements of our time. It had all THE greatest musicians :- Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, Sting, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Carl Perkins(one of his last ones)…..all of them, the same night… on the same stage…. Can you possible fathom the quality of music in the air that night…..? Magical! What left me heart broken was the fact that this concert seems almost forgotten. After unimaginable persistence and searching I managed to get my hands on the DVD.Phenomenal stuff. It was like Apollo smiled from the heavens and said, “Let there be Music of Montserrat”.
